I'm running because I'm upset with the way our government is being run. It's being run right into the ground.

I love what I do. I love the job I have right now, ... If managing comes along, that's great. If I continue to do this, that would be great, too.

Congress is not perceived as a positive right now. You're basically running against Congress in stead of running for it.

What I expect is consistency of doing it right every day. Each day has to be a learning experience, but at the same time you have to be at the top of your game. That's tough to do, that's one of the things if you're going to be a major-league player the consistency factor of your daily approach has to be very good. That's what I expect him to improve on.

Don't let anybody tell you that the Legislature did this out of some sense of good government. They're running for their political lives. ... There needs to be some new blood in this place.
