I'm extremely happy (to have a bye) at this point. I don't know if our schedule was so grueling that we just limped in. I'm glad to have this week off.

I've preached all year that we've got to hit the fastball better. Last year we didn't do that. There's some pretty good pitchers out there and we've got to be able to handle them.

We're starting to find a way to win by finding a way to get on base however possible. Sometimes it seems like we find a way to try to lose and we need to overcome that.

It's obviously not good that we've lost two in a row to end the first half (of district). I'm not sure exactly what's going on with us. If I knew, I'd fix it.

If somebody decided to use their best pitcher on Tuesday, he might be available on Saturday. Otherwise, I think everyone will be out (of pitching) by then.

Lefties have given this district fits for years. Hopefully Brandon can be like those guys.
