If they were pictures of the Yankees of the past 50 years, I'd do just as well.

I haven't seen Johnson enough in the past to know, but he's a guy who's fought all these years, 16 years, finally gets a title, he's fighting for his biggest payday, he's still fighting back in occasional flurries, just as Jimmy Garcia did when he fought Gabe Ruelas. So he was still fighting back, Every time he went back to the corner he seemed to be going slower and slower. In fact I did mention after the eighth, ninth round that he sorta wobbled onto his stool. So the signs were there and it's in the hands of the referee.

We've played some teams in the past couple weeks that really like to slow the tempo. While they've dictated tempo, what I've been pleased with is our ability to be patient. Our shot selection has been good, and that's important when you have fewer possessions. I tell the guys all the time that teams may dictate tempo, but defenses can't dictate shot selection.

You just have to find a way to get past this first game sometimes. On Saturday, maybe we'll settle in and play a little bit better.

When we shoot over 70 percent we've absolutely won every game for the past two years. We shot well below that tonight, but we won the game on sheer grit and determination. I was proud to be on the bench tonight.

This morning, the market tends to be looking past that a little bit.
