If the urban constituency is going to be cutting into that pie more often and taking bigger slices, is seems like they should be contributing more.

The pie gets bigger, and we'd like to get a little bigger slice of it.

This is her dilemma. A lot of the pressures of her constituency point to her taking a very aggressive position on withdrawing from Iraq. But her role as minority leader demands that she pick a position that does not damage the chances of Democrats in races around the country.

Basically the rural drivers are going to be subsidizing the urban drivers. (Insurance companies) need to get enough money to cover all their risks. To make money, they've got to get that money somewhere else. They are forced to charge less to the urban area. I don't know how they can avoid (charging more to rural motorists).

The larger the pie, the greater number of possible slices big enough to sustain the lives of individual species.

I think there's days when what you're doing is cutting the pie into more pieces. Smaller pieces. Then there's other days when it's so busy that everybody's busy.
