If the right people want to do it I think it's kind of a fun idea and innovative and hopefully it will get curling some publicity.

People need to slow down here. They need to put in some speed bumps or something. The just fly right through here.

Some of (the young people) have been exposed to a culture that suggests that in order to have fun you need to … use mood-altering substances. They're getting those messages from hip-hop artists and many other ways. This is one of our efforts to try to counteract … those messages.

Readers are story lovers, but are creative people in their own right. When they read about the quilt, they want to create one of the patterns touched on in the book.
