If the president can find someone in Judge Roberts' mold, I think by putting up that nominee, he disarmed his opponents,

blatant court-stripping, taking away the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and setting a very bad precedent.

I certainly would not want to see a situation evolve where some intervening event occurred which might have been prevented had Congress acted more promptly,

I hope that we'll have somebody who is modest like Judge Roberts says he is, someone who will promote stability so there are no sharp turns.

It does not signify disagreement with Roe v. Wade,

It is my hope that we will spend more time talking about the substantive needs of schoolchildren than the issue of attaching political blame.
