If it doesn't rain in the next 10 days or so, there will be no wheat in the northeast Texas area. What little bit did come up is dying. It's like a desert here this year.

They've proven to be extremely effective in mobilizing communities, going through an animation process of meeting with the elders and being clear with them about objectives, doing a proper needs assessment, and finally having the elders buy into the project so they don't see it as an outside or Western agenda. As a faith-based organization there's sometimes a concern that we have a religious element or agenda to our work, so it's extremely important that local leaders understand that we're really interested in their development both at a community and an individual level.

We've seen globally that women's education is a key indicator for development, and it's extremely important for us as we look at the overall development of an area. Women play a vital role in the family and community, and for them to make informed decisions about household and family and community matters, they need equal access to education.

Fortunately, we have not had the kind of negative impact many feared.

And this doesn't look like it will be a bubble -- Asians are buying not just as financial investments, they are buying because they appreciate the art. That's the best sort of buyer.

If we run again this year, it will be in the Breeders' Cup Classic, without a doubt.
