If I had to give a grade to Howard Stringer, I'd give him a C-plus. Sony still wants to be the master of the universe. They want to conquer entertainment; they want to conquer consumer electronics; they want to conquer games.

If I had to give a grade to Howard Stringer, I'd give him a C-plus. He talks a lot about restructuring in cost reduction. He doesn't really talk about stirring growth.

They want to make sure they capture Japan first. Sony is not in such a hurry to market this overseas.

I'd grade it an A-minus, B-plus. If we make a few more plays, we have an undefeated season, maybe one loss.

I don't think Apple wants to emulate Sony. I don't think they want to do video cameras. I don't think they want to do TVs. They are rounding out the Mac consumer ecosystem. I think they will be extremely cautious about what they brand as an Apple product.

Americans no longer experience vacations. They simply Sony them so they can ignore them for the rest of the year.
