I'd like to be a lion... they are very family-oriented. Unfortunately. too many wild animals are afraid at what man can do to them.

The lion is most handsome when looking for food

When we went back to our place, it was a mess. Everything from the smell of dead animals to dead people. But we were luckier than a lot of people. There are still people living in tents, still people homeless. We had nowhere else to go.

Wild animals would not stay in a country where there were so many people. Pa did not like to stay, either. He liked a country where the wild animals lived without being afraid.

You don't see sick animals in the wild. You don't see lame animals in the wild, and its all because of the predator: the lion, the tiger, the leopard, all the cats.

Obstacles are like wild animals. They are cowards but they will bluff you if they can. If they see you are afraid of them... they are liable to spring upon you; but if you look them squarely in the eye, they will slink out of sight.
