I wouldn't say it is a complete surprise. We're in a climate today in which companies restructure. Are we saddened by it? Absolutely.

The acquisition climate appears to be slowly improving.

The climate of today is not really focused as much as it was then on being able to speak about different cultural issues or different situations that were going on politically.

Could these changes arise from natural climate variability alone? The answer is no. Even today, one can hear statements — sometimes from senior members of our government — saying we know nothing about the causes and effects of climate change. That's really not true.

The hurricanes we are seeing are indeed a direct result of climate change and it's no longer something we'll see in the future, it's happening now.

What we're seeing right now in global climate temperature is a signature of climate change. The large bulk of the scientific community say what we are seeing now is linked directly to greenhouse gases.
