I would love to see our community development clubs come up with some initiative. I don't know if we can legislate that from the commissioners stand point. You will need a lot of community and property owner input.

There are three seats up there and I am running for one of them.

We tried that on several on occasions and it didn't work. There was totally resistance to it. If they are interested in some help, I think it has to initiate with them.

They aren't framing my campaign. They aren't telling me what to say. Whatever that political committee is doing, that's their thing. If they want to vote for me, fine.

We're a special district that does more than most. We are further along in the community involvement process than most communities around the lake, and this is a chance for us to have a voice in what happens around the lake over the next 20 years.
