I would have voted against having a shooting range ordinance in Jackson County. I wish they could have gotten together and solved their differences without making it a political issue.

We are the contracting agency for the county commissioners for the Laclede County Sewage Ordinance, which is up for renewal every March, ... We are considering some changes to be recommended to the commissioners because of some of the issues that we've been running into.

I'm still in favor of trying to pick out specific problems that we have and trying to take care of them with an ordinance and an ordinance that will be enforced.

Everyone know—or at least, was probably told as a child—that you can make a wish on a shooting star. Not everyone knows that the only way to be sure it will come ture is to speak it aloud before the star disappears, and this is a nearly imposssible fet to manage.

This ordinance will give the citizens of the county a better tool for their law enforcement agency to use where they can identify where convicted offenders and predators live and it restricts where they can congregate.
