I worry that I can come off smarmy. I wonder if I was listening to myself if I'd want to kick my own ass.

I just want people to see that I do my own stuff, that I'm not stupid, and I can make fun of myself.

I grew up in the '70s, and I hear in my own stuff a lot of what I grew up listening to, which is to say I hear a lot of Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, Carole King, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder.
