I wish I could skate one more shift, take one more slap shot from the blue line, for the best fans of hockey. But knowing my No. 2 will forever have a home here is more than I could ask.

I just put my head down as soon as I hit that blue line and shot it, and luckily I picked the far side. I wasn't really thinking too much. I was just thinking, 'Put the puck on the net.' Luckily, it went in.

It's not the way it's supposed to be here, it's never been close to this since I've been here. Hopefully, once the new guys take over we can get things going and get back to where it used to be.

There's things that I miss and there's adjustments to be made. But as far as playing, no regrets.
