I was very proud of our effort. We fought hard against a good Division II team. We just came up a little short.

Ryan has had a very good season. He could always shoot, but he's improved his overall game a lot.

When he (Lloyd) came here as a freshman, he was lacking in upper body strength. As a result, he got pushed around by some of the bigger players he went up against at first. But he worked hard in the off-season, built himself up and has developed into a strong pivot player.

We usually shoot a lot better than that from the line. It hurt our chances; no question about that.

I can't fault these kids' effort. They're playing their guts out and one of these nights they're going to get some (shots) to drop.

It requires a lot of work, but we have a lot of enthusiastic people behind the effort.
