I was very pleased with Travis and Aaron's runs tonight. They ran well following a pretty tough practice the day before.

I'm pretty happy with the job Adam did. He hit the first mile faster than we wanted, but all things considered, he did a consistent job and brought things back under control. It was a nice race for him.

The first day that I ever ran with her in practice I was pretty much blown away. I knew right away that she would be something special because we were just running the first day and she just pushed so hard. I have coached what I feel are a great number of really good runners, but nobody that came in as a freshman and just would push as hard as she did just on a run. I just knew that she had an inner edge that I hadn't coached yet.

We still want to work hard in practice to improve. That's the goal, to improve every day.

Jen ran well. She's a smart runner and didn't let her nerves get to her. Hopefully, this is something she can build on.

Let's just say that we were all pretty tired by the end of the first day.
