I was very pleased with her round, ... I've had the mare since she was 6 years old. She's a great speed horse.

She actually trained like an old mare; she never did train like a 2-year-old, ... She's always done what we wanted her to.

That was easy. She was just cruising around. She tries hard, this old mare and I didn't want to knock her out for this race. I made sure I just galloped around and won the race by two or three lengths.

I actually didn't expect to get round the whole 800 meters, so I'm quite pleased. Around the last 250 meters, I really felt my leg. That obviously wasn't me racing at my best.
