I was very pleased with everything. We were moving along and clicking off good solid times. Next thing I knew, Jamie reported difficulty with the gearbox linkage. The crew did a great job of getting him back on track, but we did lose precious time.

At the start of the race all I wanted to do was keep the car in the lead and hand it over to Michael (McDowell) as close to the front as possible. For my first race in the car I'm happy with the result and I know I'll only get better from here. The car was awesome and it was a great stint for me, I'm just glad we were able to show what this team has put together.

This was the easiest race I've ever won. Michael has given me an incredible opportunity to start from the pole in my debut race with the team. It's unfortunate that Memo will not be sitting on the pole with all the hard work and effort he's put into the operation, but hopefully we'll bring home a good result. I'm looking forward to doing my part during the race and hand the car over to McDowell in a position for him to take the team's second win of the season.

I got a couple of front teeth knocked out during a football match when I was hit by a flying elbow.

I've spent my life doing action films and most of my own stunts, so my teeth have been knocked out along the way. It happened so frequently that I can't even remember where I lost most of them.

I do still sit back and wonder when I'm in LA if this is all really true or is it all kid-on. But it's great. I always bear in mind that the right place and time have a huge deal to do with it, and there are hugely talented actors who haven't had that break.
