I was head football coach at Baylor for 21 years. I've been out 12, and they've had four head coaches. There aren't going to be any more 21-year terms like I had, and Bobby [Bowden] and Lavell [Edwards] and [Joe] Paterno.

You can make a move and sometimes triple and quadruple your salary.

What everyone had to remember was this was an experimental year. They allowed the conferences to sort of mix their own bowl of soup.

What will come out of this is there will be uniform rules set. What'll most likely happen is that they'll put in a rule: Here's the standard. You either accept it or you don't accept it. And I think nationally they'll accept it.

I can assure you when I was coaching, if I knew anything I sure as heck told the NCAA, because we were suffering at the hands of those who weren't doing it by the rules. I did not hesitate because investigators come around and ask you all these questions. Did you know about this? So if you don't give them the facts, you jeopardize yourself.

My best guess is we will probably take a serious look at it, ... It will be surveyed and discussed at the convention.
