I was calling him off because normally the center fielder has the priority there. I don't think he heard me, but that's not his fault.

But he continued to be as effective as he was at the start of the game.

I'd say if they're not ahead, they're pretty close behind where I was as a freshman. They're very good learners of the game and situations around them.

Baseball is a game of ups and downs. Sometimes you score 10 runs like we did against Oklahoma, and sometimes you score three like we did tonight. It's just one of those things.
