I was a designer at the University of Louisville taking classes (in the early 1990s) and working there and the Web happened. … I was interested enough (in the Internet) to pursue it and learn about it. It was at a time that there was no education about Web design and Web development.

A university anywhere can aim no higher than to be as British as possible for the sake of the undergraduates, as German as possible for the sake of the public at large-and as confused as possible for the preservation of the whole uneasy balance.

[Melissa Clark has been researching Stewart for her dissertation as a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.] Most of the people I interviewed said, 'One of the reasons I turn to Martha Stewart is she doesn't make mistakes. She is an expert,' ... I don't know if her core audience is going to tune in to watch her make mistakes.

With so much foot traffic, there wasn't much accumulation downtown. Crews would come behind us and put down salt. I think we managed to get everybody home safe and sound.

It's great for the community to provide so much for the homeless.
