I want to give Mercer credit, they really never gave up. It was 6-0 at halftime, and they came out smoking. They were winning balls and making effective passes. They were pressuring the ball really nicely.

I'll give Boyle County credit, they really stepped it up and played well and Eric Curtis is just a hard kid to contain, ... And I told him when we were going through the line, 'Man, I'll be glad when you're out of here.'

I'd like to say we feel a bit of an advantage playing in our own stadium, but we don't, not with Boyle County here. They're a well-coached team and they've got so many people that can hurt us.

We're required by No Child Left Behind to have 100 percent proficiency by 2014, so anything that takes away from instructional time from those three areas (math, reading and writing) at the elementary level is kind of critical for us to look at,

We didn't play well and I hope it's a wake-up call for this next game because it's going to be a tough game for us. If we play like this, we don't have a chance. Boyle County will take it to us and we'll go to the house,

We felt they were 90 percent (effort) and we were hoping they would step it up that extra 10 percent. And they dropped it down about 30 or 40, ... If Somerset would have put one in the back of the goal, there's no telling what would have happened. Because you probably would have seen an even better and more energetic Somerset team.
