I thought Ally had an excellent game. He kept us in the tie at crucial times and, although he was beaten twice, he had little chance with either of the goals.

It was a good result although not necessarily such a great performance. We're lacking in experience and we're desperately missing the influence of Scott Crabbe. We have a very young side and these players need experienced men in there to help them develop. All that really matters this season is to survive and regroup.

I gave the midfielders a rollicking at half time for not getting forward and three out of the four went on to score goals.

I expect things to become much clearer over the next few days because the new board are going to sit down and see what can be decided. I know I need to strengthen certain parts of the team.

Players are making the wrong decisions at crucial times and, while we don't seem to have a problem scoring goals, some of our defending is criminal and we just can't seem to keep a clean sheet these days.

I'm pleased that they never gave up tonight. We needed a little break to get back into the game after we'd gone a goal down but I felt we deserved to win and it's good to be in the draw for the next round.
