I think what the detectives are looking to do is just basically enhance the chain of custody of that gun for evidentiary purposes.

The kids told the deputy that they were in fact planning to plant some of these bombs at the school. They were planning to disrupt school activities at the end of the year. They were not targeting an individual.

It appeared that she lived alone.

They described the victim's body as having significant trauma to her.

The investigation is still open. Interviews are being conducted, and detectives are working with the state attorney for a resolution.

We will review the incident, but at this point we believe the deputies' actions were appropriate.
