I think what really makes this telescope special is its high sensitivity, especially in spectroscopy.

If the [starlight] doesn't pass through the ice, we can't see it.

These results tell us that up to half of the material in the disk is ice. This fits in with the picture of our own solar system.

What does that say about someone's racial sensitivity, especially in the 5th Circuit of Mississippi? Can't we do better?

It's unique, and I think its uniqueness makes it special for employees and special for clients, too.

Because we have a dome now, instead of a flat roof, the telescope sits a lot higher on its mount. They built a platform that surrounds the base so that it is the perfect height for students to look into it.
