I think we've seen him getting stronger and stronger and more confident in the fact his arm is 100 percent healthy. This game was probably the best of them all.

Hopefully, we'll use him three or four times. There is nothing wrong with his arm. It was just dead the other day.

He's stronger and a little more sure of himself. It is early, but it's obvious he worked real hard this winter. He's got good power right now, but he's got a chance when he puts it together to have really big-time power. I'd like to be around to watch it.

He's got a lot on the ball. He's the best young pitcher I've ever seen. I didn't see Dwight Gooden when he was young, but of all the young kids I've seen, he's by far the furthest along.

How we're going to limit his innings remains to be seen. We can drop him down in the rotation ... when we have days off, we can skip his turn. There's a lot of things we can talk about. We haven't settled on any one strategy; it may be a combination of plans. But the one thing is that we don't want this kid going out there throwing 250 innings.

The fact is an ARM that you took a year ago could easily adjust to 6.5 percent or 7 percent percent at the next adjustment. Contrast that with the ability to lock in 6 percent for the next five years.
