I think they were trying to send a signal to young Marines that if they go, they will be followed to their graves by the Marine Corps.

My view is that the Marines are trying to send a message to people in the ranks today that they, too, will be required to participate in a war, whether they think it's illegal or immoral.

The Pentagon has instituted this policy to say to the current troops that if you go AWOL you will be hunted down to the grave.

It doesn't seem to be the case. It looks like it's full speed ahead in putting the elderly and the infirm in the military brigs around the country.

Each Cub also will be including a letter in the package, ... Hopefully, (the Marines) will write back.

Look, many of us here are regular marines ... I will die as a marine because that is my dream.
