I think there is a place for them, definitely, from a safety aspect as well as traffic (flow).

Right now it is not what I would call a standard alternative. It's usually the exception.

That is why I am so interested in this research. They haven't been applied significantly across the United States as far as rural application is concerned.

There may be times when we have to rescue pilots and the less said the better for the safety of the pilots.

I don't like it, just like everyone else doesn't like it, but it's a safety issue, and as much as it bugs us, there really isn't anything we can do about it.
