I think the state-owned casino proponents look at both Cherokee and Crawford counties as potentially lucrative markets.

If something happens, regardless of whether a casino is tribal- or state-owned, Southeast Kansas would very much be in the mix.

It's a state issue, state problem and I think they need to be proactive about fixing it before the counties come forward,
