I think nostalgia takes over when we think about people we once loved, and we tend to pick out all of the good parts. I could very easily sit here and say I still think about the one that got away, but the truth of the matter is that he didn't get away, he walked away...and I'm the girl he walked away from.

Some day you'll have someone worth holding on to... Someone who won't ever want to let you go...Someone who won't make you wonder if they were the one who got away, because that someone will be right there beside you, thanking the other someone who let you get away.

Here's the truth about the truth. If we were all a little more honest with ourselves, it wouldn't be as painful when we heard it from other people.

If you yourself fail to recognize the truth, chances are no one else can make you see it either. You could have a giant, flashing sign in front of your face, but if you're not willing to see it, you'll look right past it and say, 'Oh, that must be for someone else'. Pump the breaks and stop lying to yourself.

Ladies, let me clue you in on a little secret...Men are not dolls and they don't need us to take care of them. The one's that do aren't the ones you should want or need. Leave the "fixer-uppers" to Home Depot!

I don't need a man to take care of me. I want a man who wants to take care me. Can I make my own chicken soup when I'm sick?...or at least order my own from the nearest take-out restaurant? Yes. But having a guy bring you soup, who genuinely cares about your well being, just does something special to your insides. It could be the crappiest bowl of Cup of Noodle, microwaved until it's barely inedible, and you swear it's the best thing to hit your taste buds, simply because he put in the effort.
