I think Martin County protects its communities very well, and we keep the growth at the airport at a very slow pace also.

I haven't seen or heard anything yet from the developer, but I think it's way too dense. I wonder if it will fit in with the character of Martin County.

It's a shame millions of dollars of taxpayers' money was spent to sit there and rot. The state really needs to do something about it.

Our comprehensive plan already allows truck stops, motels and hotels at the interchange entrance to Hobe Sound. What would you rather have there: truck stops and more of the same $8-an-hour wage jobs, or high-tech, high-wage jobs?
