I think Koizumi went too far by sending 'assassins'. He talks only about postal reforms but there are other important issues such as pensions and taxes.

We asked whether the public thinks Koizumi's structural reforms symbolized by privatization of the three postal services should be pushed forward or stopped.

Postal service of today is far removed from that of 30 years ago when reform was last enacted.

On reflection, I think the sending off was justified.
