I think it's unfortunate that there's no idea, no concept, no plan that the union will work with, except for one that will add 16 to 20 firefighters and build multiple stations. We have to start thinking outside the box. The taxpayers can't continue to write a blank check for town expenses. We agreed to move forward with a Slocum station if the [Routes] 1 and 138 didn't work but that isn't enough for the union.
