I think it's largely symbolic just to show that we're a small little city here in Flat Rock and we can reach out our hand and say we care about what happened in this country. She's an individual that went against the system, and she made a difference.

That's the question we pondered.

It's been a sticky subject for a lot of the council for a long time, but I guess no one really wanted to ruffle the mayor's feathers.

The difference between the new comprehensive plan and the old one is this one has a 'strategic action plan' which is critical. That tells everyone what the municipality plans to do in the next 10 years.
