I think all the towns feel that it's not just Wal-Mart. They feel that something that big would forever change the character of this area.

In the past 10 to 12 years, Wal-Mart has gone from really not being involved in grocery at all to being the biggest player in the grocery industry.

I'm very relieved not to be carrying the burden around, the big snail shell. Because it sometimes does feel like a big weight. The pressure of expectation is just too big. The whole Pink Floyd name, carting it around ... I don't want to be there at the moment.

We are not going down with out a fight, though, let me tell you.

To win against Wal-Mart is not what they want to do. They don't want to go head-to-head in terms of price and brand.

I do not think that in this situation we can transfer the towns to the Palestinians. They are not exerting any control.
