I think a lot of them stayed there knowing they could loot and get away with it. New Orleans is a wonderful place with wonderful people.

Where do they think the money's coming from? There's not some hidden vault for them to loot. There's not a lot of leeway.

In '71 or '72 I returned to New Orleans and stayed there. I started cooking Louisiana food. Of all the things I had cooked, it was the best-and it was my heritage.
