It's a little disappointing. But my team goals go way beyond my individual goals.

(It's to) kind of stress the importance of how important those goals are and how important it is to get in front of the net, getting those dirty goals because usually that's what wins games in the playoffs.

At the beginning of the season our goals were to, number one, win our conference - the MDCHA. Our second goal is to receive an invite to nationals.

The goals for Virginia lacrosse don't change a lot from year to year. We look at the lineup, start every year on Sept. 1 with the realistic goal to play at the end of the season, the very last game. This team has the talent to be able to do that.

The kids are fired up. We set our goals earlier, like last year we want to win a few games, win a regional title and see what happens. This year it's the same kind of thing, but it's much more realistic. They're a little more optimistic.
