I see this as an opportunity. We had some crummy trees in our right of ways.

When the hurricanes hit, a lot of information came up. We want to replant, and replant right.

Trees are very emotional. I try not to say, 'Palms are bad.' . . . But when you walk down a street and it has nice shade, you feel calmer.

In the summertime, if you walk down the street, and all you have is a palm tree shading you . . . that doesn't do it for me.

If you come here as a tourist in January, you certainly want to see palm trees. But in July in South Florida, you don't want to stand under a palm tree. Let's have a balance here, folks.

They never complained about the haircuts, either.
