I probably get five calls a day from people who cannot find a place that they can afford to live ... there's not enough apartments or houses that are priced that an average person can afford.

How many people make that? Not that many. People working in the hospitality industry and in our stores - they may make $9 or $10 an hour. Not that many of them make that kind of wage.

Every day this week, we've had people trying to come in because they see the cars here and they think we're open.

Here you have a couple, and it requires both of them to work to make ends meet. If you want to get a job in Myrtle Beach you can, but it may not pay enough to get an apartment or a house. It's discouraging, and that's the major problem.

It helps when somebody is holding them accountable and encouraging them. Some of them have been beaten down so badly that they don't think they can overcome.

This is a day of unity. He would have wanted this. It is a success even if just two people show up.
