I made a mistake with our original plan for single-game playoff ticket sales. Our goal to limit access to ticket brokers had too great an effect on an important part of our fan base and they let us know about it.

We appreciate their input and will give northwest Indiana residents the same opportunity Illinois residents have.

Anytime you go from higher sales rates to lower sales rates, you're going to have to make some inventory adjustments. And it's clear there's more capacity being aimed at most profitable market in the world -- the North American light truck market. But you could see this coming a mile away. I think we are well positioned.

Our forecast released in November calls fourth-quarter sales to be 4.7 percent higher than the third quarter, and with two months of data now in, we are on target to meet that projection.

A couple decent quarters do not a turnaround make. The competitive issues haven't changed that much. February sales looked better but they're also set against easier comparisons. There's still a long way to go until a real turnaround.

The rand is coming under a bit of pressure on the back of very strong retail sales data out of the US, but I'm not expecting it to weaken too much further given that the Budget tomorrow is taking centre stage with the locals. It should remain in a 6.12 to 6.20 range.
