I look forward to every day when I come in, to see what new data has come from the rover. Since we're driving around, it really is new every day.

We're driving into our own images every day.

Seeing all of them takes a serious amount of time. I try to look at all of them every day, but if you take the weekend off, you're a few hundred images behind.

These images are going to be studied for years, decades, because there's just so much data. The data set is for the ages.

All I can remember is sitting on the bench in a cold rain. All year long. Every day, it was raining. It just didn't work out.

It would be great, even if was only for a day, to be in the national spotlight. I knew when I came here that I wouldn't have that opportunity. But hopefully, these kids by their senior year, will get to do that.
