I like to dabble in different things, but music is my first love. It connects to me in a way my side projects don't because it's so personal. I write the words. Music is like my diary. It's my therapy.

Because I write fiction, I don't write autobiography, and to me they are very different things. The first-person narrative is a very intimate thing, but you are not addressing other people as 'I' - you are inhabiting that 'I.'

I love to write. I have always loved writing. That was my first love.

Why do I write books? Why do I think? Why should I be passionate? Because things could be different, they could be made better.

Singing was probably my first love, and song writing. I write a lot of love songs and heartbreaking songs.

I write to make sense of things that don't make sense to me.
