I know some people don't like it, but the fact is we get more gaming-oriented in the country every year. More and more people are watching games on TV and want to have a little action going.

It becomes almost impossible to fix a game if it's all done above board because everything's monitored. People are going to bet no matter what.

Where else can they make such a big deal about Kenny Rogers? It just tells you what an unreal life we're living. Kenny Rogers! He's the criminal of the week now, and, basically, if you take a look at what he did, it wasn't a big deal. That's the beauty of it: We can take any molehill and turn it into a mountain, and it's great fodder for at least a few days.

These people really find themselves in an impossible situation. It just overwhelms a person in a country like ours, in terms of comprehending this.

We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.
