I know just about every (Carver) player and I like them all. This wasn't necessarily personal. We just wanted to make it to Birmingham and we didn't want to lose.

I felt better. I wasn't as sore, but I was still having a hard time moving around.

It was worse when I stood around or sat down. During the game (against Austin), I could barely move.

It's a big day for the school. We came in looking for the win, both the boys and the girls, and that's what we got. Huffman's a good team, but we wanted it the most.

The school has really shown its support. The students came out and supported us and helped us win. It was good that we (boys and girls) could both bring it back.

I knew it was a championship team from last year. We weren't going to let it slip away this year.
