I know everybody in the country knows we play on defense. If we go out there and do what we're supposed to do, everybody will know at the end of the game.

We feel that's what we're supposed to do. We love to play defense. We love to go out there and get three-and-outs.

I think we kind of got some respect tonight. I think everybody sees how the defense can play. Everybody knows the offense can strike at will, so we're just trying to get better and better. All we can do is go out there and go undefeated and at the end of the season argue about it.

We expect to run the floor and play good defense, and we weren't doing that in the first half. We believe our defense will create our offense.

Coming out of halftime, Coach (Dana Addis of Copley) told us to play a little defense, and take good shots. I started to go to the hoop more, and that opened up the floor for my teammates.

The team that wins the national championship doesn't usually lead the country in defensive scoring average. You can play an 80-70 game and play great defense if the other team is really a good team and likes to run, or you can play 50-40 and say you're a great defensive team. That never bothered me. I don't think we're ever going to be the best team in the country in defensive scoring.
