I knew they would be disappointed, but they should be happy. This is a special group. They've gone further than any other team in school history.

They're just such a tight-knit group. I think it was very special to them because they knew that they all had to do it together or they wouldn't have gotten it done. There wasn't anybody who could step up and carry them, they all had to do it together. That's probably what's so special about it.

I'm very happy for our seniors. This has been a very special group. All 10 of these young ladies, I love 'em dearly. They've been a pleasure to coach and this definitely will be a team I will always remember.

I honestly found out about halfway through the year how special the group we have is, because everyone on this team's a leader. Our attitude in the locker room and on the bench is so positive. It was unbelievable because every guy was involved. This journey has been something I'll never forget.

That was a special group. They left footprints. We want to follow them and feed off them.

I didn't want to be disappointed, so I didn't expect it. Now I can be happy.
