I just felt the kids would know collard greens.

In some cases, it's a matter of menus already being prepared.

To be honest, we serve lots of fresh produce, but I love farms, coming from a farm myself in Indiana, and I want to support our local farmers.

We certainly have noticed significant changes. As these kids get out in the public forums they have become more aware of who they are and they are able to say what they want.

The biggest change is the kids are empowered to be a part of the process. They are making choices about families, mentors and the events that they participate in. Our children are viewed as team members and they utilize that power.

I haven't been very enthusiastic about the commercialization of children's literature. Kids should borrow books from the library and not necessarily be buying them.
