I just don't understand. It was a really strange game. We only average about four penalties per game and to come out in this one with so many is not typical.

We caused almost 20 turnovers per game, we averaged 9.9 steals per game, and (Wisconsin) doesn't turn the ball over that much. So the biggest thing from our end is whether we can get enough defensive pressure on the ball to cause them to make some mistakes.

We were warned before the game that they are going to keep calling the penalties the way they did in the regular season. This was more emotional today because we know what's on the line.

It is really nice to see that we won't have any penalties. All of our coaches understand the importance of this. It is part of their job description now to meet these academic progress numbers.

The Phoenix game the other night had 27 penalties in it, so that's pretty much the whole game somebody's on the power play. Believe it or not, you almost have got to forget about the score and just try and play the game as best you can with the new rule changes. I know that's hard to think about it that way, but you've got to teach yourself to adjust to the new rules as quickly as possible.

It was a tremendously sloppy game. There were a lot of penalties and we're going to have to elevate the film to see where we are as far as those things go.
