I'm not a fast starter in spring training, and I need to be careful. I want the Dominican Republic to win as much as anybody back home, but I also want to be able to help the team.

I don't want that to happen again. I'd love to play in the World Baseball Classic. The only way I wouldn't play is if I felt something in my shoulder and body.

It's so disappointing. I'm thinking about watching the game with some friends or maybe just heading back to the hotel and watching there. I'm just a fan for the day.

I'm feeling stronger every day, but I wouldn't have been ready to pitch. I still think it was the right decision, but it is tough not to be competing for my country.
