I haven't been playing offense very well. Tonight, finally, it came together. [Softball coach Tim Walton] had confidence behind me and I felt that.

It really helps my confidence to go in there and do well.

It gave me confidence. I made some plays, and I competed.

Now we know what to expect since we've played them once. We know what we have to do, and we know the players a little bit better and what they can do.

Each and every one of [the freshman] brings something to the field, and everyone backs each other up. We have the older players to help us out and tell us where to be, and the coaches give us a lot of support.

I've refined my mechanics, refined my pitches. I've gotten more confidence, and I've gotten more determination. I've got a better idea what I'm doing out there.
